Harmeet qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Leicester in 2011. Since then she has worked in both muscoskeletal and neuro physiotherapy roles at Wexham Park Hospital and Amersham Hospital Rehabilitation Unit as well as working privately.
She has a range of experience that includes rehabilitation, community and acute care as well as offering hydrotherapy. She has a special interest in hand and ankle injuries having ran an ‘ankle and early rehab class’ as well as ‘back to fitness classes’ at local hospitals.
For Harmeet the best part of her job is the rehabilitation element of physiotherapy, through assessment and patient specific goals she believes treatment should be carried out not only in musculoskeletal injuries but also longer-term neurological conditions and management techniques.
She is keen on keeping abreast of the latest developments in her field and has taken post graduate courses in taping, podiatry, biomechanics, shoulder, hip, knee injury, Ankylosing Spondylitis and Spasticity management. Specifically with the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society (NASS), she has led hydrotherapy and gym-based sessions for patients to manage this condition.
She has also taken time out of work to volunteer in disaster relief for various NGOs in South America and Tanzania.
When not working or volunteering Harmeet likes to be outdoors hiking, cycling or travelling.
