Meet Lorraine
Lorraine qualified as a physio in 2001 and started working in various hospital settings, specialising in Orthopaedics.
From this, she developed a special interest in sports medicine and sports injuries: specifically in rotational sports such as golf, polo, tennis
and squash. Through further post-graduate research she developed a wider interest in high intensity sports such as moto-cross
and motor racing (superbikes and cars). She is currently involved with a local F1 Racing team, screening F1 drivers/ F1 testing
drivers and the young drivers. She has been appointed to screen and look after all P1 GTR drivers.
She specialises in movement pattern analysis, functional movement assessment and functional exercise prescription. She
believes that improving basic movement patterns is fundamental to improving one's ability to perform. In short, improved
physical fitness leads to improved sports performance (she studied human movement and performance while training for
ballet for 17 years).
Lorraine is also trained in myofascial release, manipulation, Specific Soft Tissue and Connective Tissue Mobilisation, Muscle
Energy Technique and Sports Taping. She is a certified level 3 Titleist Performance Institute Medical Professional and Junior
