Postnatal Mummy MOT Check
A Mummy MOT is a specialist postnatal assessment designed to support women after childbirth – whether your baby is weeks, months, or years old. Pregnancy and birth can affect posture, breathing, core strength, pelvic floor control, and abdominal function, and many women find their body feels different afterwards.
At Bucks Osteopathy & Physio, our postnatal-trained therapists offer supportive and thorough assessments in Amersham, Beaconsfield, and Gerrards Cross, helping you understand your body and feel confident moving again.
What We Assess During Your Mummy MOT?
Your session may include:
- Abdominal separation (diastasis recti) assessment
- Pelvic floor function (external or internal exam optional with full consent)
- Breathing mechanics and core activation
- Posture and movement patterns
- Lower back, pelvic and hip support
- Caesarean section scar mobility and sensitivity (if relevant)
Every assessment is gentle, respectful, and led by your comfort.
Internal pelvic floor examination is only offered if appropriate, and only with your full consent.
You are always in control, and you can decline or pause at any time
