Osteopath
Meet Sarah
I’m Sarah, Clinical Director at Bucks Osteopathy & Physio, and I’ve been practising in and around Amersham for over 20 years. I’ve developed a special interest in supporting people with complex or persistent pain – particularly those who feel they’ve “tried everything” without lasting results.
My approach is thorough and personalised. I look beyond just the area of pain, considering the mechanical, neurological, vascular and autonomic factors that can contribute to ongoing symptoms. Many of the patients I see are referred by other healthcare professionals when a more integrated perspective is needed.
Alongside general musculoskeletal care, I have a particular focus on digestive and visceral dysfunction. Through advanced postgraduate training, I work with patients experiencing IBS, reflux, bloating, constipation and abdominal tension patterns, using visceral and cranial techniques to address structural and autonomic influences that may be contributing to symptoms. I am also trained in dry needling (acupuncture), which I integrate when appropriate.
I have undertaken extensive further training in cranial and neurological osteopathic approaches and regularly support patients with jaw dysfunction (TMJ), facial pain, post-viral nerve irritation, cervicogenic dizziness, certain types of tinnitus, persistent headaches and post-concussion mechanical symptoms.
Finally I also have a particular interest in coccyx injuries and complex pelvic tension patterns – areas that are often overlooked but can significantly affect daily life.
At the heart of my work is a simple aim: to help people understand their pain, feel supported, and move forward with greater confidence and ease. I feel privileged to walk alongside my patients in their recovery and to see the positive impact that thoughtful, individualised care can make.
Outside of the clinic, I’m a proud mother of four and treasure spending time with my family – even as some have now flown the nest. I love hill walking and exploring new countries and cultures through travel.
